LaTeXDraw is a free
PSTricks code generator or PSTricks editor for LateX distributed under the GNU GPL.
LaTeXDraw is developed in java, so it's independent of the OS. It's available in English, in Spanish and in French.
You need jre 1.5 to launch LaTeXDraw.
PSTricks in an extension of LaTeX which allows to create drawings. You can found some documentations about pstricks on this page. If you want I put a link to another pstricks manual, documentation, ... you can send me a mail.
News:
The third and last beta version of 2.0 is released. It fixes a lot of bugs but problems with arrows need to be fixed.
But this version is not yet stable, so you should make copy of your drawings before using it. And feel free to report any problem you find.
Look at the release note for more details. The new strings are ready to be translated and it can be done on launchpad.
The next release will be the final 2.0 that will be released in a month.
To facilitate the translation of latexdraw, we test since a month the translation platform of launchpad. Thanks to it, everone can easily translate the program without any pressure of us :p. To make translations you just need to
create an account one launchpad and to set your language(s). Then you can translate latexdraw and any program which is
on lauchpad (Ubuntu, Gnome, ...). See launchpad. If you find that a translation is not correct, you can modify it too.
The second beta version of 2.0 is released. It fixes some bugs but a lot still need to be fixed.
Another great stuff is that the German translation is available for test.

Finally! The first test release of latexdraw 2.0.0 is out. This big new version brings a lot of new stuffs:
- SVG import/export in order to remplace the former latexdraw format
- can align a set of shapes
- can distribute a set of shape
- PSTricks import improvement
- better performance
- better plotting of some shapes
- ... and so on ...
But this version is not yet stable, so you should make copy of your drawings before using it. And feel free to report any problem you find.

The 1.9.4 version is an other maintenance release before 2.0 which fixes some bugs (see the release note).
The 1.9.3 version is a maintenance release before 2.0 which fixes some bugs (see the release note). At least an other maintenance version (1.9.4) is expected before 2.0.
This new version stores user data into a profile instead of in the latexdraw directory. Bugs were fixed too ;) Most of all, an tiny installer was implemented to easily install latexdraw.
